Wedding season is well underway now and the summer is fast approaching! Is your big day coming up? Have you planned an outdoor, beach, country home or evening wedding?

The summer is a great time to get married. You’ll benefit from fair weather, brilliant lighting for your photos and happy guests who aren’t clutching their shawls and coats all day.

The good weather also gives us a little free reign over our colour schemes, opening up new and bright palettes that rarely work at other times of the year. Think about mixing warm and cool colours to really create a serene, exotic atmosphere such as coral and turquoise or chartreuse and powder blue.

Opposing hues of primary colours will also work well in the summer, perhaps you’re a navy and pastel yellow or a purple and aquamarine. Different hues are very important in choosing the right colour scheme. Purple and green might make you say “yuck!” but eggplant and lime might be just the ticket! Take your time to make these important decisions with help from Eventsbykeisha.

Colour schemes in the summer can lend themselves to summery cocktails and fruity canapes or deserts. Sometimes the simplest of methods allow for the greatest impact. Clean lines, use of light and subtle colour introductions will be your best friends in planning a summer wedding.

Remember that there is beauty in simplicity and a color scheme should never take over your event. Eventsbykeisha are here to support you at every stage of the planning process. Please do get in touch if you require any assistance!
