Monica and Elias Romantic Wedding Theme

March 6, 2018Another choice which many couples debate over is whether to hire a DJ or a live band to perform. There are pros and cons to both (and not all come down to cost alone!).
With a live band, you are able to experience a concert, guests are treated to a real musical experience if you choose wisely and this experience can really make a wedding.
That said, a DJ is able to provide classic dance tunes and quickly change the mood and atmosphere of the room depending on what is going on (dinner, dancing, mingling for instance).
Both options require a good quality sound system, but a DJ requires a smaller mixer than a live band will as the band will require one channel for every instrument and microphone. It really comes down to the tone you’d like to set for your big day. Are you concert-goers? Does live music appeal to you in a way that recorded music simply can’t replicate, or do you prefer to have the option to listen to any requested track at the drop of a hat. A DJ certainly provides more flexibility but much like the difference between a kindle and a hardback, for some there is simply no competition!
