Finger Foods and Canapes

Canapes and finger foods are a great way to feed hungry guests who have been getting ready, travelling and watching your lovely ceremony. Perhaps there is travel required to your evening venue and perhaps you need some time for photographs and touch ups when you arrive.

If so, the cocktail reception will be your secret weapon! Offer guests a drink, something to look at like an interesting seating plan and something to nibble on to keep them satisfied while you are otherwise engaged!

Exciting canapes are always a winner. Is yours a marriage of a mixture of cultures? If so, work with your caterers to design something truly spectacular and a fusion of your two heritages. An Indian/English wedding might benefit from a foigras with spicy mango chutney round on spicy bread or for a Moroccan and Persian inspired canape how about an onion cake topped with chicken and dried fruit?

Perhaps culturally you are less or too diverse to form fusion foods! If you are lovers of food then let your flare show, perhaps mini portions of your favourite dishes will be perfect for your big day. Classic roast beef Yorkshire puddings or cones of fish and chips in faux newspaper are always a winner and will fill empty bellies for long enough for dinner to be served at your leisure!
